Buy It: Hair Bows

HipGirl Boutique Hair Bow Sets

I ordered these as a gift for a 4 year old birthday party, & was so impressed with the price & quality, I had to share! This 16 piece hair bow & headband set is only $12.99, & if you are a member of Amazon Prime, it ships free in 2 days!
There are tons of bow & headband set options but this particular one included three 1" grosgrain ribbon headbands, with 13 coordinating bows with alligator clips to attach them to the headbands.
The colors are vibrant & pretty, & the quality is fantastic! Even the packaging is cute! I will be putting a few sets on the girls Christmas lists this year.

Here are a few shots of my 3 & 4 year old girls modeling them:

Five on Friday: Link Up

Linking in for FIVE on Friday!

5 life highlights since my last link up:

1. My husband & I spent the weekend in Chicago last month & got the chance to re-enact a scene from on of my husbands all-time favorite movies, Ferris Bueller! This was taken at the Art Institute museum. I managed to ask the only visitor in the building that didn't know how to work an iphone, to take our pic... go figure (hence the major fuzz).
If you want a peek at the rest of our trip click here.

2. We went to the State Fair & I got this incredible boot conditioner, here is a before & after pic of my boots. This stuff really is amazing, it makes them look so clean & shiny, & it's not greasy at all!

3. My lovely & ridiculously talented photographer friend Ashley Thompson, asked the girls to model some costumes for a Halloween Mini photo-shoot promo. They killed it, & so did she!

 4. The girls Halloween costumes came in, so we had an impromptu IPhone photo shoot by our pumpkins. Who you gonna call???? These cutie booties!

5. Party prepping has begun for my tiny tot's 2nd birthday! I created a design board to give me some direction & keep me focused:)

Let's Party: Sophia's Favorite Things

Party Planning for Sophia's 2nd Birthday

I created a party design inspiration board! I adore Studio Mucci's paper garlands, & Jenny Collier's Silhouette Favorite Things party pintables, & am using them as inspiration for sweet little baby girls 2nd birthday party in January. I've ordered some paper supplies from a local party supply co-op (dirt cheap), & picked up some gold paper wear at JCPenney. I have to start planning before the holiday's hit, or her 1st week of January birthday becomes a party in a bag from Wal-Mart (because that is all I would have time to do!).
I get a lot of joy out of planning parties, especially the ones for my girls. While Bounce U would be loads easier & probably a little cheaper, I get NO creative input, & I need a reason to design something fabulous!

Sophia's favorite things include: kitty cats, juice, bananas, pizza, & baby dolls
Now, the challenge is incorporating those into this shindig!
These are the places I found the items in my party inspiration board above:
Gold Balloons: JCPenney
Tassel Garland: Studio Mucci
Paper Lanterns & Poofs: 1PomPomGirl
Snack Cups: Sixpence Press
Paper Straws: Fancy That Loved
Treat Bags: Polka Dot Pinwheel
Cupcake Liners: Jenny Collier Designs
Paper Plates: JCPenney
Gift Wrap (to use as a table runner): JCPenney

Keep an eye out for the party pics mid January:)

Lets Party: Kids Halloween Costumes

Halloween + 3 Kids + Costumes = A Party

The girls were asked to model Halloween costumes a few weeks ago for a photographer friend's (Ashley Thompson) Mini Halloween session promo. We had not ordered their costumes yet, so we went through the dress up bin & found some costumes.
These were my favorite shots:

Ashley has a few openings for Halloween Mini sessions in Jenks, OK, if you are interested!

Then, their real costumes came in! We will be a family of GhostBusters this year (the husbands choice). We threw them on the girls & snapped a couple of phone pics:

Buy It: iPhone 5/5s Champagne Gold Case

I Love the New Gold iPhone 5S!!!

But, I just got the 5 & there is no way I'm getting a new one anytime soon.
So, I found a solution:

It's a Champagne Gold case that looks almost identical to the new gold phone!
Now, for less than $20, I can pretend like I got the new phone (smile inserted here).

THE GOOD LIFE BLOG

1. The big girls won a gold fish! Well, they didn't actually win, but the Hispanic lady working the booth must have thought they were cute enough for a prize! While no ping pong balls actually made it into a fish bowl, they still had fun. The name choices for the fish were Fishey & Baby Fish. Mom made the call to go with Tish the Fish, because #2 can not remember her preschool teachers name (Tish), she keeps telling me her teacher is #1's teacher & TA, Mrs. Price or Ms. Tammy... she's never even seen those women, she just wants to be just like her big sissy!

Sad to report, Tish the Fish lasted 24 hours before she met porcelain god...

2. Fair souvenirs! I HAVE ALWAYS WANTED a set of Russian stacking dolls. And, what do we do when we don't get things as children...we buy them for our children, whether they want them or not! By golly you are gonna love these dolls, girls!

3. We didn't get the pumpkin at the fair, but fairs & pumpkins go hand in hand. We picked up our first pumpkin of the year, she's a beauty!

4. I did not get my rings cleaned at the fair, but I did get my boots cleaned!
I was in the MIO (Made in Oklahoma) building & a gentlemen stopped my & the girls because we were all wearing cowboy boots, & offered to shine our boots. All of our boots were looking a little shabby, so I took advantage of the offer. I was TOTALLY impressed! It didn't feel greasy & they looked fantastic immediately! It was $25 for a tub, the man said it would last about 400 cleanings & was equivalent to hand lotion for leather. I came home & cleaned several pairs of my husbands dress shoes & my boots. Here is a before & after pic of one pair, don't they look GREAT!!!? Excellent purchase!

5. I don't usually buy stuff like this, but it smelled amazing & it's almost sick season, so the Pacific Sea Spa Salt in Peppermint by Salt Soothers was irresistible!
